Recently, I attended a lecture by Roger Swaine, who was the host of over 600 episodes of Victory Garden. His TV personality is only overshadowed by his lecturing persona. He was wonderful. With wit and humor, he provided more information about vegetable gardening than anyone could consume in real-time. The take-away from his lecture is that he depends on the seed catalog from Johnny's Selected Seeds, www.johnnyseeds.com, for much of his vegetable gardening information. I quickly rushed home and ordered the catalogue. Roger was right. It is a treasure chest of valuable information, and I recommend anybody who is interested in vegetable gardening to order this catalog, and study it as much as you dare.
